Some reflections

Honestly this year hasn’t been so good for me and I think many agree with me, sometimes I can't believe I'm in a pandemic, I know that the quarantines is necessary but I miss so much my old life style, things so simple like go out with my friends, go to university, take a walk with my boyfriend. I think that what has create me the most stress is the university and its online classes, I study every day, all day, I look like a raccoon for my dark rings under my eyes hahaha even so I always have things to do and study. I miss the human contact with my classmates and teachersL                                                                                                                 Never the less, despite the stress of online classes I can say that the effort I have put in has paid off because some classes I have very good notes for which I’m very happy and satisfied.

Also I am grateful for some good things that have happened to me, for example, my mom, my family, my friends, my boyfriend and me have good health and we have not been affected, for my friends with who I always talk by videocall and make me feel like I'm with them and my boyfriend who always tell me something cute and encourages me to continue studying when I'm full stress.

When this situation ends, the first thing I will do is go party with my friends a whole weekend!! haha

Pets

Hi everyone!!

I really didn't know that to talk about in this blog, so I will talk to you about something that makes me very happy, is my baby, is my angel, is my dog. My baby arrived into my life in 2010 when I was 10 years old and she was 2 and a half months old. Her name is Emily in honor of a writer I like, which is Emily Dickinson, I think it is a more original and much better name that "Negra" or "Chola" hahaha.  She was so small and so weepy when she arrived, but sometimes she was so bad, she broken countless socks and t-shirts even so I adore her with all my soul haha. Since that day we have not parted, we do everything together, I bath her, I comb her, I take her to the vet, sleep with me and I must say that she snores like a truck also kicks me, but for me her company and her warmth is incomparable.                                                                                                 My dog is 10 years old and I know that she isn´t eternal and I feel so sad just to think that someday she will no longer be with me, for that same reason I feel that I should enjoy her as much possible.

A SUBJECT YOU'VE ENJOYED STUDYING THIS SEMESTER

To be honest this semester it has been difficult for me to enjoy the classes, since are not the same in the virtual way, a class that I like is Chemistry II but sadly due to problems in test and things like that I can't say that I have enjoyed it, so I choose electromagnetism.

The classes are based on the teacher uploading one or more videos explaining the subject and an exercise guide which is the seminar, he gives a one time to review them, personally I prefer review them before because I like it do it calmly.  And then via streaming the teacher solve doubts, develop the seminar and gives some tips about the subject.

In the classes we have seen electric and magnetic fields, electric and magnetic forces, circuits, electric interactions, electrolysis, etc.

I like this class because the teacher is very very nice, he is punctual and always upload the study material a lot ahead of time, which is appreciated. Besides, I have understood everything and I like his good will to always answer questions. Also, I think the subject is entertaining because it can be relate to things of quotidian life like plug the television.

CARRER-RELATED WEBSITE OR AN EXPERT ON YOUR FIELD

Well honestly, I don´t visit many websites, but there is one that interested me that showed us in the career class in the last semester.It is the Chemistry and Pharmacy Museum of the Universidad de Chile, this museum is supposed to be visited, but due to the circumstances of that moment we couldn´t to go with my classmates.                                                                                                                           The Museum of Chemistry and Pharmacy Professor César Leyton Garavagno was created in 1951, by the professor and researcher to whom this institution owes its name.This place was conceived as a space that sought to portray the aesthetics of the old apothecaries and preserve the historical legacy in the development of the pharmaceutical sciences.                                                                   The website tells us the history and how the museum was born, its mission, its vision, how it is structured and its collections.I do not visit the site frequently because I really would like to visit it physically, not online.I like and interest this site because of the history the museum has had, also the photographs of the old pharmaceutical materials that are kept in such good condition, I think it is great to see how certain things that we use now have evolved but a few years ago were very different.

"Books and other things"

Well, today I would like to talk about the things that I enjoy the most but that some time ago I can´t do either because of the demand of the university or the pandemic.

In my free time I really enjoy reading, especially the books related to mysteries, unsolved murders, etc. That is why one of my favorite authors is Edgar Allan Poe , I think I have read his books more than 7 times; I also like Jane Austen and her romance novels, yes, super different themes ahaha. The best thing in the life is read, in winter, with a warm doggy next to you. That is life!

I think reading is very important, besides to being entertaining and having too much variety to choose, it is something that helps to educate about some theme.

Never the less, apart from enjoying reading, I really like movies and series, I think I've seen Breaking Bad as many times as possible ahaha and I still can´t forgive myself for not being able to see "Better Call Saul".

But I think that I miss the most is having a day of self-care, painting my nails, put on my face a face mask and watch Breaking Bad or some Studio Ghibli movie like Howl's Moving Castle, that is my favorite.

                                  

A PHOTOGRAPH YOU LIKE

Hi everyone!!

This photograph was taken by us with the camera with timer because we were alone in that moment, this photograph shows my first adventure traveling with my boyfriend and reflects the good moments we have and the laughs that always be in excess.            In this journey that consisted in backpacking to the south of Chile where we met wonderful people and beautiful places. We had some extreme and funny experiences, I remember now with very nostalgia because we can’t go back there for everything that is happening. This journey we did last summer and in the photograph shows when we camped in Parque Nacional Radal Siete Tazas, is a magic place and we fortunately visit it before it was affected by the great fire that happened some time ago. I choose this photograph because reflects the enjoyed of this journey and the comradeship we had with each other, learning to know each other and strengthening the relationship, since besides to being my boyfriend he is my best friend.
I had never backpacked so it was strange to hitchhike and get into the car of a stranger, fortunately all the people who took us were very friendly and normal haha and the journey became interesting and fun.

                                                   

                        

“MY FAVORITE MOVIE"

My favorite movie is definitely Shrek, I love it, I've watched it since I was a child and I still like it a lot, I've watched it so many times that I know all the dialogues and songs haha.

I like so much the characters, that is, in what other movie are there an ogre and a donkey as protagonists? also the dialogues are veeery funny and originals that never bore me.

But what I enjoy most about the movie are the songs, my favorite song is “I need a hero” of Shrek 2, is incredible, that scene is life hahaha.

I don’t have a favorite kind of movies because I watch a bit everything, terror, drama, romance, comedy but the most of the time I choose a terror movie or Disney.

A movie that I watched a short time ago was “Dumplin”, I really like this movie, I even cried when I watched it hahaha. I think the message that this movie presents about self-love is very nice and important, I recommend it.

                              

   
     MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

I like many pieces of technology like my phone, TV but my favorite is definitely my computer, I love it.

My mom gave me my computer in my first year of university, because she thought that I should have a computer more updated for study (my old computer was very old and very very slow).

I really use my computer for everything like watch movies or series in Netflix, do my homework from university, listen to music or watch makeup videos.

Before I usually used my computer but now I’m using it all days due to online classes that force me to be connected all day, every day, it’s horrible for my eyes:(

I like the computer for its versatility, that is, I can watch a movie, listen to music, study, search information, play some games. All that in one device.

If I didn't have my computer, it would be my end because I can’t do my multiples homeworks or connect to classes and more important can do the tests.

                     

                  

                          

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CAREER?

Hi everybody!!

When I was child I wasn’t interested in working, but I liked the concept learn and study. I wanted to be in something that will help people. 
I liked too many careers, and both areas, humanist and scientific.
I was interested in archeology, art, history, medicine, veterinary and chemistry. But before finishing high school I realized that I really like more the sciences and I'm good at it.
At the moment of applying to university my two options were medicine and chemistry and pharmacy. But finally I chose chemistry and pharmacy because I fall in love of botany area.
I like my study program but is very demanding and I sleep little, even so I'm satisfied with my decision because I learn new things and I've met nice people.
I haven't thought about jobs yet, but I would like to dedicate to botany and investigation and obviously a job where they treat me well.                                                

 AUTO BIOGRAPHY

I was born in 4^th November of 1999 in the commune Peñaflor, it’s a bit far away from Santiago, always I lived here and I like this place because is very quietly.

When I was child I moved from many schools, the first time I moved because I had problem with companions, later I moved two times until I got to a school where I really felt happy and comfortable, I met to my best friends with which I have a wonderful relationship.

Until I was 10 years old I lived with my grandparents, my mom, aunts and my cousin. I grew up surrounded by a lot woman, which was really fun; I remember that we usually to combed and make up each other.

Hobbies I don’t really have, I did many things like play the guitar, dance and swimming but finally everything bored me and I left them.

Actually I live only with my mom, and I study chemistry and pharmacy in the Universidad de Chile, at the beginning the change was hard for me but now I’m happy to learn new things and new persons.
